The Lijiang Old Town is reconstructed Chinese town in the style of the Uan Dynasty. The lack of a city wall makes Lijiang unusual.

The town was build around a river. The buildings on the right used to have water-powered mills.

Lots of the town's places to eat are up along the river. During dinner, the Naxi staff of the place we were at began to sing, and the staff across the river sang back in response.
