Along the road from the airport to the town of Lhasa, I looked up into the hills and everywhere there were hundreds of prayer flags, everywhere we could see. Amazing!

How do you boil water in a place where the sun is stronger than anywhere else on earth? Solar power! It takes about 3-4 minutes until it starts to steam, like in this picture.

Potala Palace is thirteen stories up - quite a hike in the thin air. Still, the view was amazing all the way up.
